Who is the Most Incompetent Yupublicrat in Arlington?

A.Y. thinks it's County Manager Ron Carlee. What do you think?

I would say the incompetence is widespread. Look at where our quality of life is despite all the money that's spent here.

Agreed. We are not keeping up with other metro areas that have a lot less in financial resources.

I nominate the corporation that publishes the Sun-Gazette.

It's a tie: County Manager's Office and School Board.

Arlington County Division of Community Planning, Housing and Development

And the winner is...the Arlington Republican Party which won't run candidates for local office but sure can run their mouths about Arlingtonians who do run.

Both political parties are responsible for making Arlington an expensive mess.

Did someone mention "quality of life?" I nominate whomever allows owners of extremely loud motorcycles to do their free range thing in residential neighborhoods.

Incompetence? The enormous amount of Stupid Growth in Arlington is not merely the result of incompetence.

Yeah, I wish the FBI would start looking at development deals in Arlington after they are finished in PG County.

Off the topic, which development decision makers besides Chris Zimmerman, Barbara Favola, Nancy Hunt, and Jim Pebley ever met a developer they didn't like?

Also off the topic, what about Scott McCaffrey the Editor of the Arlington Sun-Gazette "where journalistic ethics is an oxymoron". Scott recently obtained a real estate agent's license. Hmmm. This is the guy who consistently gives a "thumbs up" to mega-development in Arlington.

Anyone know what all the hush-hush VIP meetings are about at the Fairlington Community Center?

ALL of Arlington's development decision makers never met a developer they didn't like. Any discussion and dissent is part of the County Board / Planning Commission / Housing Commission / Transportation Commission etc., Planning & Development Charade.

Nick Benton, Owner and Publisher of the FC News Press, is worse than McCaffrey. McCaffrey doesn't promote development and then pocket ad revenue from the same developers.

I nominate ACTA and the Coalition for Smarter Growth. Coalition for Smarter Growth should be renamed "Coalition for Increased Sprawl Through Urban Gentrification"

You mean Coalition for Dumb Growth?
